Bahrain Strengthens Air Defence After Iranian Aggression

In response to recent hostile actions attributed to Iran, the Kingdom of Bahrain reported a successful air defence operation that neutralised a large number of incoming threats.

According to the Bahrain Defence Force, the system intercepted and destroyed 92 ballistic missiles and 151 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that were launched towards Bahraini airspace.

Operational Details

• Missiles were identified as short‑range ballistic projectiles.
• Drones included both surveillance and combat‑capable models.
• The interceptions were carried out using a combination of Patriot and indigenous missile‑defence systems.
• No casualties or damage were reported on the ground.

The heightened alert follows a series of regional tensions, with Bahrain urging the international community to condemn any further aggression.

Officials emphasized that the defensive measures are purely protective and do not constitute an escalation.
