Swedish Startup Aims to Turn Everyone Into a Coder

Lovable, the Stockholm‑based edtech startup that promises to make programming accessible to anyone, announced today that it has closed a Series D financing round of $330 million. The new capital pushes the company’s valuation to $6.6 billion, more than triple the $1.8 billion benchmark set by investors just six months ago.

The round was led by Global Ventures and FutureTech Capital, with participation from existing backers such as Nordic Seed and EduFund. The fresh funds will be used to accelerate product development, expand into new markets across North America and Asia, and deepen partnerships with schools and corporate training programs.

Founded in 2019, Lovable offers a cloud‑based platform that combines AI‑driven tutoring, gamified learning paths, and a community of peer mentors. The company claims that its approach reduces the time required to reach “coder proficiency” from years to months, opening doors for career changers, students, and hobbyists alike.

“Our mission is to democratize coding education,” said Emma Lindström, Lovable’s CEO, during the announcement. “With this new investment, we can scale our technology to reach tens of millions of learners worldwide and help close the global tech talent gap.”

Industry analysts note that Lovable’s rapid valuation increase reflects a broader surge in demand for flexible, tech‑focused learning solutions, especially as companies worldwide continue to upskill their workforces.
