Failed Attempt to Derail Trains on Key Supply Line

The Polish Prime Minister announced that two explosive devices were discovered on a main railway line that supplies Ukraine. The devices were designed to derail passing trains, but they malfunctioned and did not cause any damage.

Investigation Findings

According to officials, the sabotage was orchestrated by individuals linked to Russian‑supported Ukrainian groups. The suspects allegedly intended to disrupt the flow of humanitarian aid and military supplies heading to Ukraine.

“The plot was clearly aimed at weakening Ukraine’s logistics network, and it was thwarted thanks to the swift response of our security services,” the prime minister stated during a press briefing.

Suspects Flee the Country

Police reports indicate that the two perpetrators fled Poland shortly after planting the devices. Border control agencies have launched a coordinated search effort with neighboring countries to locate and apprehend them.

Poland has pledged to increase surveillance and security measures along its railway corridors to prevent further attempts of this nature.
