Survivors recount a harrowing journey that began under the cover of darkness. “We left everything behind—our homes, our livestock, even the graves of our ancestors,” says Ahmed Al‑Mansour, a 32‑year‑old father of four. He and his family trekked on foot for more than a week, evading militia checkpoints and crossing treacherous terrain to reach the border.
